Personal Energy Management
(Loyola University Press)

Personal Energy Management offers a Christian alternative to quick-fix time and stress management books and superficial personal empowerment programs. It emphasizes core human values and long-term growth rather than immediate, fleeting results.

The book is divided into three sections:
Personal Energy Management Principles, Practices, and Mismanagement Patterns.

"P" principles discussed include philosophy, prayer, providence, perspective, poise, purpose, perseverance, and prudence.

"P" practices include prioritizing, pace, patterns, patience, presence, persuasion, and phone management.

Mismanagement Patterns include procrastination, perfectionism, punctuality, and leisure time.

The book also contains extensive self-knowledge and discernment exercises and guidelines.

The companion piece to Personal Energy Management is a personal organizer known as The Personal Energy Manager Rainbow Planner. It contains personal, professional, and family forms, and is a personal and professional development tool as well as a personal organizer. It is ideal for persons who want structure without scrupulosity.

Planning Forms include a Project / Ideas / Mission Tracker, Monthly Calendar, Business Tasks and Activities List, Personal / Family Planner and Honey-Do List, Weekly Planner, and Daily Planner.

Team and Communication Forms include a Meeting Planner, Telephone Conversation Planner, and a Telephone Log.

Personal and Family Forms include a Little Victories Log, Discernment and Decision Worksheet, Energizers, Drainers, and Restorers Worksheet, 24 Hours a Day Time-Line, Balancing Home and Work Planner, and Schedule S(h)ifting Sanity Sheet.

A cassette tape explaining how to use the Rainbow Planner for optimum benefit is also available.
